Holy crap, never thought that this was going to happen....at least not right now. I had an uneasy feeling when Aimi had the surgery and Nohana and Shiho going to Korea/US to power up. -_-" what a sad day...

I can't believe this! Been listening to Stereopony almost everyday since I found out about them a few months ago, now they're disbanding!
Stereopony was so underated with some absolutely amazing songs. Although they weren't around for long, Stereopony will be in my heart forever...

When you look at their history as a whole, it's been filled with so much struggle, beginning immediately after their one year anniversary when Nini passed away.
Followed by SHIHO's tendonitis, the Japan disasters, and AIMI's throat surgery. And during this time rock music overall was declining in the mainstream, compared to Pop and all that Electronic stuff that doesn't involve playing instruments live onstage. Their latest album and latest single didn't rank as high as I had hoped, to be honest, and I really felt that their last two releases were a couple of their best and should've been better received (heck, even SCANDAL HEAVEN members were saying they liked More! More!! More!!! better than the album SCANDAL released at that time).
Even when Stereopony first started out it wasn't really smooth, like SAKI leaving Stereopony suddenly and their debut being delayed (though that helped them because of the Bleach tie-in).
It's so sad.

My understanding is Nohana and Shiho will continue on with Evan. As for Aimi, we really don't know right now. I would think that she'd continue her recovery right now, but afterwards is anyone's guess.
RS- when you factor in Nini passing away, Shiho's tendinitis, Saki suddenly leaving just after forming and the delay of their debut, along with Aimi needing surgery, it seems like they were cursed from the start. The disasters in Japan and the shift in popularity away from bands certainly contributed to their downfall.
The breaking point was probably Evan inviting Shiho and Nohana to LA to work with them personally (and not bringing Aimi, who may not have been well enough to sing, but perfectly capable of playing guitar and learning from Evan as well).
I'm not sure where to place blame here, if there is anyone to place it on. Do I place it on Evan, for using his connections to Avril and the music industry to lure Nohana and Shiho away to form a band with him?
On Sony, because they can't make money off the group if their lead singer can't do a whole show herself, so they put pressure on the girls to go their separate ways? The three of them were perfectly capable of sharing lead vocals until Aimi was 100%.
Or can we say that Shiho and Nohana themselves realized with Evan's help, they don't need Aimi anymore, and her recovering from throat surgery made their decision to disband easier?
I understand that the decision to break up is a very difficult one, and given the current circumstances, with not knowing when Aimi would be fully recovered, and Shiho and Nohana's improvement to the point where they wanted to see where they could go without Aimi, probably led to their decision.
I'm trying my best to post without unleashing too much venom, but considering I already took More More More out of my car's CD player so I didn't have to hear the band and make me sadder because there's no more Stereopony...

Hey guys just registered for this site just to tell my thoughts on Stereopony's disbanding. Just a few months ago i found out about stereopony and boy it's been a blast. A lot of amazing music and even encouraged me to play the guitar again. When i found out that the band has been disbanded, it strike me down hard. Even playing Tsukiakari no Michishirube was hard, i kept on messing up the tabs because i was just so sad when i heard about the band's disbandenment, to the point i was in tears. But now i realize i should'nt be sad. Stereopony gave us good music and brought precious memories of them, and they loved us, the fans. I will never ever forget them. I am not sure if Stereopony sees this post, but Thank You for everything and we all wish you for the best! Steropony for ever!!!

i thought this is a rumor, but then i became to think that it's serious. i searched for the official announcement and there it is. i think you know what happened.
i'm such an idiot for not noticing that this is the fact. huh... i'm in my lowest point of my life (as a fan gal) i became more serious about playing drums after i know STEREOPONY. after i know that there is a band that is so cool i want to be in such a cool band like that in the future. but maybe it's for the best. they have their own path! i hope they will become what they want to become.
love STEREOPONY for the rest of your life, everybody!

I'm not too keen on the idea of Evanpony. This really sucks. Hope they get back together later.
