I originally liked them because they played good music, but after having an opportunity to see them live and attend autograph sessions and Q and A's, I like them because they're very nice girls and appreciate their fans and the things their fans do for them. Like make very large banners signed by everyone but me and present to the girls, and send them birthday cards...

Aw crap, seriously? Dang that's right, we didn't see you for most of the convention since you were wandering elsewhere (and I suck at remembering to call people to meet up haha). My bad... Next time!

For my reason, I can pretty much quote Destonus. In the beginning I just really liked their music and the fact that they were my age (at the time) when they debuted really got me interested in them. Plus, AIMI's looks from TnM era and all the way back to HnH era were really irresistible. And let's not forget about that height.

The news of SHIHO's aggravated tendonitis also had me keep checking their blog daily even before I joined VGD, anticipating the day when SHIHO would be fully healed and STEREOPONY would be on their way to making more music. I remember thinking things like "No! Don't stop now!" and "Their music is great! Please have a speedy recovery!" haha.

And of course, VGD has pretty much bound me to STEREOPONY forever. I've made a ton of friends all over the world because of STEREOPONY and VGD. And since I'm part of VGD Staff, I'm helping lead the development of VGD and helping spread STEREOPONY goodness around the world. I'm pretty sure my methods have made many of the staff members go crazy, and even I myself wonder "Why am I doing this?" when the answer is obviously "Because I love STEREOPONY and this will help them get more fans and supporters!" And I'm sure everyone else feels similarly.

Anddd I hate to mention it (since I don't want people to be jealous haha), but after seeing STEREOPONY perform live, meeting them in person, interviewing them, promoting their U.S. Tour, and giving gifts to them at LAX, I've really grown attached to them. I'm more than likely going to be a lifetime fan.

I would say that VGD has bound me to Stereopony forever, especially with some of the interesting facts I find out as their unofficial biographer (for example, Bfly didn't know that Aimi loves to do Hoshikizu Cantera live because she likes watching the people dance to it until I brought it up.)

I did have a crush on Aimi for a while, but it kinda tapered off when I factored in the age difference (although according to Elsuke's rule I only need to wait another year), the distance issue, the language barrier (which could be remedied), and that her career leaves very little time for a social life off the radar.

I count two things that sealed my relationship with Stereopony. The first was discovering they were going to to Anime Boston, so being that I didn't have to travel too far to see them, and the fact that I was finally going to see a band live that I had only listened to through anime and CD's. Getting to meet them up close and personal to a degree before even seeing them live made me a true fan. The second was joining VGD and connecting with people around the world that also love Stereopony. The final clue to my lifetime love of Stereopony was going cross-country to see them a second time.

Hopefully next year another opportunity will arise to go see Stereopony again, and maybe even an opportunity to see FLiP or Scandal too. I won't be fully satisfied until then.

Viva La Stereopony!

I've never been so involved with following a band as I have with Stereopony.
I love their music, but certainly like Destonus having met them and realizing how they interact with fans has really made them even more extra special to me.

I truly hope everyone gets to meet them just so they can understand how I feel. They're special.

With that being said, without fantastic music I would never have gone this far either. In equal parts being summed up, I just in general love Stereopony as people and as well as their music.

When I first heard HnH I actually felt connected to it. Like listening to the song made me feel something. After seeing them perform live at Animenext, I just fell in love with not just their music, but with the band.

I have never followed an artist before, I would usually listen to a couple of songs by them, but I would never go to the trouble of actually buying their cds or wanting to get multiple copies of the same one, or to actually really want to meet them and have something signed.

I dunno, I just feel something when I listen to their music, it's not something that I can exactly put in to words.

I like them first and foremost for their music. If they didn't keep putting out great music, I would still listen, but I would not be as devoted to them as I am.

But even with the great music, I think I follow them the way I do because they are nice girls and fun to be around. Even when you only get to spend a few moments with them in Q&A or autograph session, you can tell they genuinely care about their fans. They are really are happy to see us, and aren't just smiling because you shelled out $15 for their album.

Plus, there is no denying they are cute. And who doesn't love cute Japanese girls that can rock your face off? <3

i like them because for me they have a very clear "personality" as a band to make me idolize them. i also like them because they are all make great music and for me they are like a really cool upperclassmen. they really cute, kind, and many good things that i can't describe by words. i hope someday i will be in a band playing drums... well, maybe as a hobby.
