More! More!! More!!! has been release, so I was wondering what everyone thinks. Personally I think the music is great and I really love all the songs.
A few small observations (not necessarily complaints or criticisms):
I think the songs are not as cohesive as the other albums, kind of giving me the notion of more of a compilation than an album. I also find the songs to be more rock inspired and less cute, but it's still got Stereopony's feel.
I think I am a Hero (track 4) could have done without the auto-tune on AIMI's voice. It seemed out of place and unnecessary. Fortunately it was used minimally. I'm not a fan of auto-tune admittedly, but I did like it on Hoshikuzu Cantera.
Each Version is packaged really nicely and has a uniqueness to make you really want to acquire all three. The photobooks are also fantastic. Sony did a nice job with the packaging.
The documentaries on LE-A and LE-B are fantastic , although I do wish the full concerts get released someday in the future. There are many wonderful elements that they have footage that are missing, including the various panels that are priceless to see for any Sutepo fan. Also wondering where's the PV for Tatoeba...
Oshare Banchou 2011 is wayyyy better than the original
SUPER GIRL!!!!! (nuff said)

Wow, I'm the second to comment!
@Arc: By auto-tune, do you mean the electronification of Aimi's voice?
This one was well worth the wait. Our girls have gone from co-writing with known-only-to-Okinawan-native groups to returning to unleash epic music. The auto-tuning is a little overboard, and gives a portion of the album a electronic feel. Hopefully this is just an experiment, because too much of one thing is bad.
The Introduction is fun, but not needed. I know groups like to have these every once in a while, but there goes room for another song. On the other hand, it's almost necessary for the girls to put this on the CD after everything that's happened the course of the year, from Anime Boston, to Shiho's tendonitis, to TatoUta, then writing a tie-in song for Yell from Heaven, basically saying "Fans, we know we've let you down sorta with TatoUta and then writing a song for the movie based on the life of our mentor, but thank you so MUCH for hanging in there!" Or at least that's what it says to me.
Blowin' in the Wind, and Hana Hiraku Oka are classic StePo. As soon as I heard the begining of Blowin' in the Wind, I was like, "They're back!"
I am a Hero is Stereopony with a shot of electronica. At times, it sounds like Aimi was hanging around Scandal a little while writing this one. But otherwise it's classic Stereopony.
Viva La Viva La...This one is catchy. Really catchy. The influences are all over the place. The "Viva Viva's" echo Kalafina, the harder rock parts remind me of their fellow Okinawans FLiP, there's even some Scandal nestled in there some places. All and all a very eclectic song, and a song I can't WAIT to hear LIVE.
I can see why so many like Super Girl now. It's a upbeat, fun song in Stereopony's tradmark style.
Oshare Bansho 2011 is an interesting track to say the least. It certainly answers the question of "What would Stereopony sound like as a techno group?" I haven't heard the original, so I have nothing to compare it to. I was highly anticipating this track as the fourth "special" track, Tatouta being a duet, Chiisana Mahou being an Anime OP, and Arigatou being a movie tie-in, this being a collab with NAOTO of Orange Range. It's catchy, but it'll take some more time to grow on me. Stereopony's a group that really doesn't lend itself too well to electronicifaction. Puffy AmiYumi had many of their songs remastered by a member of the Pizzicato Five, but Stereopony and electronic music are oil and water in this case.
Canvas ni Watashi Dake no Iro wo Nosete keeps Arigatou company as a string accompanied ballad that Aimi does so well. It just wouldn't be a Stereopony album without a slower song or two. There are as many types of songs Stereopony does as there are members in her, there's their classic sound, there's the slow songs, and then there's the "I wonder what we'd sound like if we did this" songs.
With the releases of the last two singles, I worried that we'd lost our girls, although Arigatou was very Stereopony, and our girls are forgiven as to why it was done (It's not every day that someone makes a fictional movie based on the life of one of youir mentors and a group that knew the real person is asked/volunteers to contribute a song to the soundtrack), the song really just belongs on the movie soundtrack, instead of being released as a new single after we/I were recovering from Shingo the Vocal Hog and the suppression of Shiho's drumming.
That being said, I was worried we'd lost Stereopony, or rather their sound, but this album proves, at least to me, it's still there and here to stay.
Viva La Viva La Stereopony!

Before I talk about the positive stuff, I'll say what my complaints are...
First of all, only twelve tracks? There were thirteen in the first two albums. And it's kind of ironic since the title of the album is "More! More!! More!!!" haha. And what? One of those tracks is an "Introduction?" So that means there's only 11 songs... And out of that 11 are the three singles, a remake of "Super Girl," and an ORANGE RANGE song. So, there's only six new songs... But I wanted more more more, you know?
Also... where's the "Akashi" cover?? That could've been the thirteenth track.
But, despite all that, I actually like the new songs on this album more than the ones from OVER THE BORDER.
"Blowin' in the wind" is pretty much the rock song I've impatiently been waiting for. It's currently my second favorite non-single A-side on the album.
"Hana Hiraku Oka" is an all right song. It's definitely Stereopony-sounding, but I hear another certain girl band's influence in it... It wasn't a favorite at first, but when I found out that it's the "answer song" to Hitohira no Hanabira, then it just made sense to me, so I like it for the meaning.
"I am a Hero" definitely sounds like a Pokemon song, that's for sure haha. It makes sense that it was used for Pokemon Smash! Another good song in general.
"Viva La Viva La" is a really peculiar song. It's catchy but at the same time it's kind of weird... haha idk. It doesn't sound like anything else Stereopony has performed, so it's just different. In a good way.
"Amaryllis" reminds me of "Nagareboshi" for some reason. I just like it, even though it's not as hard-sounding as the other Stereopony songs I like.
"Super Girl" was the biggest surprise of this album for me. It starts off with the first verse like how it's written in the original song. Then after that, it's just completely different lyrics. I'm disappointed that they replaced the epic "akiramenai" line with the less powerful "dakara" line. Other than that, "Super Girl" is as awesome as ever. The most Stereopony-ish song on the album.
"Oshare Banchou 2011" is currently my favorite song on the album so far. It's just super catchy haha. And the random English words make it better.
The last track (not typing the name) reminds me a lot of "Arigatou." Nothing too special. That's all.
So yeah, good album by Stereopony overall. Surprisingly it didn't break the top 20 on Oricon...

As I've listened to the CD more I redact my previous comment about the cohesiveness of the album. It makes more sense to me. This is the first album that I was exposed to the singles before the album. I think that threw me off.
I find "Hana Hiraku Oka" to be an exceptional song. It's haunting and has been stuck in my head all day. Same with Amaryllis.

The albums awesome. Just wish that they didn't change the "akiramenai" in Supergirl... :l
