For over three years this forum served as the home for Stereopony fans all over the world. While we are saddened that the journey of Stereopony has ended, we at Very Good Days! must look forward as Aimi, Nohana, and Shiho start their new journeys. Like them, we will start a new journey too. This isn't the end; this is only the beginning.
This thread is a combined topic that includes all the posts from my topic, Destonus's topic, and s3RAINity's topic. Basically, post your ideas on what songs seem appropriate for Stereopony to cover.
From original "Stereopony Covering English Songs" thread:

I'm sure all of you know Stereopony's English song "It's a wild world" and know that Stereopony performed "American Idiot" by Green Day at Anime Boston 2011 and a few other concerts in Japan.
So, in this topic post English songs that you think would be appropriate for Stereopony to perform. Choose one or two Stereopony songs that are the most similar style to the English song you choose.
So, I'll start off with... "Misery Business" by Paramore.
It's not exactly Stereopony's kind of music (lyrics-wise), but I can still imagine them performing it. I would compare it to "Never Look Back" and "Mousou Jet" (the wail lol) I guess.
Hrm...my knowledge of bands in my home country escape me, but it's my personal opinion that Aimi must have listened to lots of Green Day when she wrote It's a Wild World...it might have come from the two being back to back but they sound good.
I know Aimi mentioned she liked AC/DC, so maybe one of their songs? They'd probably put their own spin on it like they did with Hanbunko, which was originally done by a group of guys. Nohana definitely has the bass skills to pull of "Back to Black" I think...(It plays at the beginning of the first Iron Man film, that song), based on the dueling bass/guitar solo she does with Aimi in Chiisana Mahou.
Personally, I really would love to hear Aimi cover Sobakasu by Judy and Mary: Aimi said she memorized it when she was a kid in an interview watching Kenshin with her parents, and when SCANDAL took on JaM they put a bit more of an edge on it when they did Daydream. Our girls obviously have some covering experience if they're going to cover ZONE for a tribute album, so I think Aimi and Co. could pull it off. Besides, Aimi's voice is much easier on the ears than Yuki's...
That, and a "I do it" duet with YUI! The two co-wrote it after all, I would love to hear that.
Ahh Sobasku...I would like to hear AIMI cover that as well. Fun and upbeat definitely fits Stereopony. I bought a Judy and Mary album, and Yuki's voice is a little trying at times...
We've already got an English cover thread, which is all well and good.
But we know our girls like Anime, and can compare themselves to Anime characters, well, except Shiho Somebody make me a list of female anime drummers and we'll pick one.
SCANDAL like Stereopony has covered other musicians like ZONE, Judy and Mary, they even released a mini-album of them covering lots of 80's girl bands and girl led bands.
Unlike Stereopony, they did a cover of Don't say Lazy from K-ON, so our girls have to catch up.
I've said it before, Aimi should totally do a cover of Sobakasu by Judy and Mary, since it was used as the first opening for Kenshin.
The problem is nowadays most anime have their opening and ending themes provided by Japanese recording artists, and not singers brought on for one song or sung by one of the seiyuu like Hayashibara Megumi does all the time.
For a song that's not by a group such as our girls but instead sung by a seiyuu, my vote's for Tokihanate from Blue Gender.
It's along the same vein as Tsukiakari no Michirube, (a little edgier than lighter fare like Chiisana Mahou, because it's for a darker show) so RS will be first in line to buy it if they do it. Plus, they have done some edgier rock like fuzz, so they've definitely got the skills for it. Now that I think of it, it reminds me a little of I do it too, and again, Kuwashima Houko's voice is similar in range to Aimi's, like Yuki's, so I'm all for our girls doing it. Go get the rights Aimi!
Everybody else, your thoughts? I can't be the only one who wants them to cover anime songs for the fun of it...
I wonder if they'd be able to cover "Lovers" by 7!! Seven Oops... that Naruto Shippuden opening. Most epic Naruto opening in my opinion as of now... haha.
ah, so a song you want them to cover like Bivattchee's "Hanbunko?"
Well, I already made a thread like this for English songs and Destonus made one for anime songs. Hmm... I'll let nikid decide whether we should combine all three of these topics together or not.
But anyways, back on topic... Maybe they should try covering "Sign" by FLOW. I feel that it'd sound really cool, actually...
