Topic discussion about Stereopony's first album and their second one. Which one do you like more? If you pick one, explain why you like it better than the other. If you cannot decide, you can choose both which is fine, but I'd also like to hear a reason. Perhaps one song in one album you like more and in the other you like the least? I would also like a rating for the albums on a scale from 1-5, so 1 out of 5 meaning bad and 5 out of 5 meaning good. This means you have to rate both albums after making a selection.
Also, please remember this is just anyone's opinion so I do not want to see any argument or hate if someone likes "Happy A" for instance while another person does not.
I'll give my overview as an example on the two so everyone can see how this works.
(Note you don't have to write that much like I did, maybe about 3-4 sentences is fine. Just so I don't see some vague 1-2 sentence that took no effort to write to get post count. Please put some thought and effort!)

A Hydrangea Blooms vs Over The Border:
Personally I prefer A Hydrangea Blooms more over Over The Border. I can listen to the whole album straight through without skipping songs as opposed to the other album where I feel a bit nit-picky when it comes to "Happy A" which is my least favorite song. The song is nice and all, but just Aimi's high pitch voice does not work for me. Also the last song "Sakune" is great until the song is over and I have to wait nearly 8 minutes in silence if I want to hear the "hidden acoustic track" which does not happen very often.
Over the Border has more of a rockish feel compared to A Hydrangea Blooms and I like that though the first album I enjoy better because it has that variety of rock/cute/sad/uplifting. Not saying I don't hate their second album, but the first one wins me over with Sweet Blue any day.
My rating of A Hydrangea Blooms would be 4/5 and Over the Border I would say 3/5. 4/5 for the first album only because it is too short and effective line is barley under 2 minutes so the song is over before I even realize it. 3/5 for the second album because of Happy A being too girly and the long silence in Sakune I have to wait if I listen by CD and not from my phone.
*Edit* WOW I made a picture with a versus in and but it stretches out the page to long ugh damn comment box. Put it in spoilers instead.

hmmmm well i like both albums, i dont see any flaw in either of them and i like all the song in both. hydrangea was their 1st album and a great one. the songs are just uber awesome.
over the border too was a good 2nd album and it had songs that is almost similar to pre-stepo songs. for example happy a is like baby, and i like baby. and yes I LIKE HAPPY A VERY VERY VERY MUCH, THANK YOU
i cant really explain in detail why i like the songs in both albums, i just like 'em all and i never skip song...hmmm its like love - do you really need a reason to love someone? Hydrangea ga Saiteiru — 5 out of 5 OVER THE BORDER — 5 out of 5

Going by my Library in Windows Media Player, I have six songs from Hydrangea, as opposed to 9 from Over the Border, not counting their anime contributions which I already had. I honestly took Sakune off because I thought I ripped it wrong, I didn't realize there's a secret track on there! In my car I thought there was some kind of encoding to stop the CD because it's the last track or something.
My absolute favorite song, Smilife, is on OtB, but my other two faves after that are on Hydrangea: Sesshun ni Sono Namida ga Hitsuyou Da! and I Do It, followed by Chiisana Mahou batting cleanup and Hanbunko in 5th. I'm always skipping to one of those first four on my mp3 player (I can almost keep up with Aimi on Smilife!)
At the show at Anime Boston, of the 13 songs they did, 2 were b-sides from singles (Nagereboshi and It's a Wild World), one was a cover from an American band (American Idiot by Green Day), and then Chiisana Mahou which will probably end up on their 3rd album when they make one.
Of the 9 remaining songs in the set, 5 were from OtB, 4 came off of Hydrangea, but I suppose the girls were trying to have more from their newer album than their debut.
Going just by the numbers, I'd give a 4 out of 5 for OtB because of the variety. But Hydrangea was the first full album I got of Stereopony, and it gets like a 4.5 out of 5 because I realized that the three of them don't save all their energy for anime theme songs, there's plenty left over to make their own stuff sound great as well.
So Hydrangea wins, but not by much.
